Newport Four Draw Chest circa 1765 Plan

This elegant chest, originally in mahogany, has the great proportions and restrained decoration that is typical of Rhode Island furniture from this period. The blocked draws are topped with convex and concave shells and spring from ogee bracket feet at the base. I drew this from a privately owned original. The plan is full scale and also includes a brief build sequence outline.
