This class will introduce some basic techniques of surface decoration used in the Boston area in the late 1600's.
Shallow incised carving and punchwork as well as mitred moldings will be used to decorate a quartered oak box that
the students will construct.This is a great opportunity to understand this neglected period of colonial furniture-making.
